Lost in Frenchlation is proud to be back with our first feature in the new venue of L’Entrepôt – a 1200m² independent cultural space combining 3 art-house screening rooms, a stage area, a restaurant, a garden, a cocktail bar and an art gallery. To keep this blazing summer simmering, we picked « Été 85 » , France’s response to « Call Me by Your Name » .  The queer romance, set in 1985, boasts a killer soundtrack including The Cure and Bananarama, gorgeous cinematography, a coastal setting, striped T-shirts, and, of course, a beautiful cast.

When 16-year-old Alexis capsizes off the coast of Normandy, 18-year-old David heroically saves him. Alexis has just met the friend of his dreams. But will the dream last for more than one summer? The summer of 85. – Synopsis

« A breezy first-love flashback to more innocent times, Ozon’s latest recalls life not just before COVID-19 but, more importantly, before AIDS overshadowed what it meant to come out. »  – Variety

The screening will take place at L’Entrepôt cinema, our new partner cinema in the heart of the 14th.  We will be kicking the night off with drinks and snacks from 6:30pm, followed by the screening of the movie at 7:30PM.

❗️Covid-19 era sanitary measures, drawn up by French health authorities, include the obligatory wearing of masks when moving around in the foyer and the restaurant but not when seated in the theatre, one empty seat between separate groups of spectators, the cleaning of the theatre at least twice a day, and buying your ticket online is recommended: https://www.ticketingcine.fr/index.php?lang=fr&nc=0379&idMS=Z07CD

Été 85 is the ideal work for anyone who wishes to rediscover the joy of going to the cinema. We can’t wait to see you again 🖤
