☞ DETAILS:
We’ll start the day with a beautiful walk-in Paris guided by Heidi from ‘Women of Paris’. Here we will explore beloved superstars like Josephine Baker and Mata Hari as well as lesser-known figures who pioneered early film while weaving through the historic theatre district; all while discussing feminism in French cinema!
Join us after for two humorous events: the film “Babysitter” directed by Monia Chokri and a stand-up comedy show with Sarah Donnelly! Donnelly will visit us with a piece of her sold-out show “The Only American in Paris.” A hilarious set talking about her time as an American woman in Paris. The comedy show will fit perfectly with our film “Baby Sitter,” a satirical take on classic misogyny in a rising feministic world. Be ready to laugh!
☞THE MOVIE:
Middle-aged sexist Cédric is suspended from work after drunkenly kissing a female reporter on live TV. Stuck at home with his long-suffering girlfriend, Nadine, and their incessantly crying baby, Cédric teams up with his brother, Jean-Michel, to co-author a book apologizing for their past misogyny. Enter Amy: a mysterious and provocative young babysitter who, like a Mary Poppins of the libido, forces the trio to confront their sexual anxieties while turning their lives upside down.— Synopsis
“Monia Chokri’s sophomore film is a jaw-dropping laugh riot wearing the skin of a horror throwback.” — Indiewire

☞THE PLAN:
We will be kicking the day off with a Women of Paris walking tour at 5:00 pm (optional). Join us at the Club de L’Étoile for drinks at 7:00 pm! At 7:30 pm, we will have a STANDUP COMEDY SHOW, in English with Sarah Donnelly, an American stand-up comedian, podcast Queen, and wannabe TikToker living in Paris (France, you may have heard of it). The film will start right after her show at 8:00 pm.
It’s Friday and what better way to spend it than with a tour around Paris, a comedy show, drinks, and a movie?
