We will be screening a wide range of French films including “Fidelio: l’Odyssée d’Alice”\, “La Nouvelle Eve”\, “La Classe Americaine”\, and a series of contemporary short films as you enjoy the fresh summer air. \n8:30PM\, July 12th @ Mairie du 11ème – ‘Fidelio: l’Odyssée d’Alice’ [1h37min]\nAs a part of the Mairie du 11eme “La Chaise et L’Ecran” Film Festival\, this screening will take place on the courtyard of the town hall of Mairie Onze. We will have a classical concert before the screening with violinist François Pineau-Benois and cellist Dimitri Maslennikov. These two artists will perform a classical program of Glière\, Janacek\, and Ravel. The film will feature English subtitles for Fidelio\, the Odyssey of Alice\, directed by Lucie Borleteau with Ariane Labed as the titular character. \nThirty-year-old Alice is a sailor. She leaves Félix\, her man\, on dry land\, and embarks as a mechanic on an old cargo ship\, Fidelio.
