☞ DETAILS:
Women, Paris and history – that’s the theme for today!
We’ll start the day with a beautiful walk in Paris guided by ‘Women of Paris’. Here we will discover some famous and hidden places, where women wrote history. Afterwards we’ll screen the powerful, women lead film ‘Une Jeune Fille qui va Bien’. It is the first feature film from Sandrine Kiberlain and it earned her a Camera d’Or nomination at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
☞THE MOVIE:
“Paris, summer 1942. Irene is a young, bubbly, 19-year-old Jewish girl. Her family watches her discover the world, friends, new love and a passion for the theatre. The aspiring actress is living her youthful life without a care in the world, but she does not know that time may be running out.” – synopsis
“With ‘A Radiant Girl’ director Sandrine Kiberlain wrings tension from joy” – Variety
“Between Marder’s exquisite performance and Kiberlain’s powerful yet subdued storytelling, ‘radiant’ is the perfect word to summarise the writer-director’s feature debut” – The Up Coming
