Summer. A cruising spot for men, tucked away by the shores of a lake. Itโ€™s here that Franck falls for Michelโ€”a man who is striking, magnetic, and lethally dangerous. Franck knows exactly what heโ€™s getting into, but he chooses to chase the thrill anyway.

๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆQueer French Film Series-Program Note๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

The history of French queer cinema is rich and diverse. During June 2026 in Parisโ€”Pride Monthโ€”Lost in Frenchlation presents a series of films dedicated to French queer culture and lives. The series showcases a range of films from leading queer French-speaking filmmakers. Time-honored filmmakers such as Cรฉline Sciamma, Christophe Honorรฉ, Alain Guiraudie, Robin Campbillo, and Xavier Dolan are included in the program along with a new generation of French queer filmmakers such as Anna Cazenave Cambet and Hafsia Herzi. Through dramas and comedies, their films explore lesbian relationships, trans lives, โ€œcoming-out,โ€ AIDS, and the pleasures of being queer.

*The Queer French Film Series is funded, in part, by the City University of New Yorkโ€™s Research Foundation.
