Maria, 30, is impatient, restless and speaks 5 languages. In Taipei, she meets Olivier. He is shy, slow and can speak 14 languages. They fall in love. Then suddenly, the news explodes. It’s their story, a true story. – Plot

“Boasting beautiful people and scenic landscapes aplenty and effective performances from the leads — with both stars contributing engaging turns in manifesting their characters’ emotional ebbs and flows, and surprisingly convincing delivery of their Mandarin lines — the film should find quite a bit of love in territories well beyond its domestic shores.” – Hollywood Reporter

The screening will take place at Club de l’Étoile cinema, located a short walk from the world-famous Arc de Triomphe! We will be offering a variety of French-inspired drinks and popcorn during our cocktail hour from 7pm. After the 8pm screening, we will have a Q&A with the director present to answer all of your burning questions about the film! Tickets available both online and at the cinema.

Lost in Frenchlation and Ciné-Balade have teamed up to bring you a two hour walk into the history of cinema around the Eiffel Tower, the star among the stars, and the district of Passy. Many international movies were shot here including “Mission Impossible” this year, not far from the location of “Inception” with Leonardo DiCaprio. You will learn about the beginning of cinema invented by the Lumière Brothers and how it is linked to the Eiffel Tower and the World’s Fair. We will also talk about French movies like “The Last Metro” by François Truffaut or “Peur sur la Ville” with Jean-Paul Belmondo. The story of these famous places and what filmmakers are looking for when they use them will be our main thread. The walk starts at 5pm and lasts for approximately 2 hours. ☞ LIMITED TICKETS:

Don’t miss one of this year’s top romance films with a chance to meet the director!
