In tribute to the late film legend Jean-Luc Godard, there will be a special screening of one of his iconic films, “A Bout de Souffle”, starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Jean Seberg. Before the screening, there will be a French New Wave movie tour. 

☞THE MOVIE:

Michel Poiccard, a small-time crook, kills a policeman after stealing a car. He goes to Paris to collect some money in order to leave the country, and tries to convince his American girlfriend, an aspiring journalist, Patricia Franchini to go with him. She is less interested in accompanying him than she is in playing the role of an American intellectual in Paris. When Michel finally secures the money he needs and is ready to leave the city, Patricia betrays him to the police, and he is shot as he half-heartedly attempts to escape.

☞ THE TOUR

With the passing of Jean-Luc Godard, we would like to pay tribute to his work by offering you our movie tour on the tracks of some of his Parisian films. A way, for those who are less familiar with his work, to go back to his beginnings as a filmmaker, focusing on the 60’s, a period during which the Latin Quarter was the fief of the New Wave. We will visit the filming locations of Breathless, Tous les garçons s’appellent Patrick, Vivre sa vie, La Chinoise. We will also find some of the addresses where he lived and the cinemas he frequented while making the link with other films such as Pierrot le fou or Bande à part.
