In 1942, a Royal Air Force plane was shot down over Paris. The three British pilots bail out and are found by two members of the French Resistance (De Funès and Bourvil). With De Funès and Bourvil as guides the film follows their madcap and hilarious journey to get past the Germans and get the pilots to the Free French Zone.
