In 1955, French secret agent Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath (OSS 117) is sent to Cairo to investigate the disappearance of a fellow agent and to uncover a secret arms deal. Posing as a poultry importer, he blunders his way through Egyptian politics, religion, and espionage. Arrogant, clueless, and politically incorrect, OSS 117 constantly misunderstands local customs, creating both chaos and comedy. Despite his incompetence, he accidentally manages to foil the conspiracy.Β
