‘Les Invisibles’ are simply those excluded from society, in the sight of all and yet made invisible to others by their condition. A feel-good movie about dysfunctions in French society, this poignant film is also an opportunity to better understand the work of the various actors in this sector. We have teamed up with Serve the City Paris to have donation boxes at the event, so please don’t forget to bring anything useful (see below for more info!)
• THE MOVIE:
Following a municipal decision, Envol, a homeless women’s shelter, will close. There are only three months left for social workers to reintegrate at any cost the women they care for: falsification, string-pulling, lies… From now on, everything is possible! – Synopsis
“Great socially engaged cinema, full of hope, humor and energy.” – Mondocine.net

• THE PLAN:
The screening will take place at cinéma Luminor Hôtel de Ville, located in the beautiful area of the Marais, by Centre Pompidou. We will be offering a selection of Parisian drinks and snacks during our cocktail hour from 7pm. Then, at 8pm, the screening begins! Tickets available both online and at the cinema.
We will also be accepting donations before and after the screening at the bar upstairs, things that are needed at the moment are: Toiletries – Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, shower gel but no soap; Socks; New underwear for woman, just slips; Hats; Gloves; Scarfs; Sleeping bags; Blankets; Tents.
The movie is an essential reminder of empathy with regard to those women and men who are too often inclined to be cowardly ignored, especially at this time of the year. We hope you will all be able to come!
